VELVET REVOLVER Debut To Be Mixed By ANDY WALLACE
November 12, 2003VELVET REVOLVER, the much buzzed-about rock group featuring STONE TEMPLE PILOTS vocalist Scott Weiland, former GUNS N' ROSES guitarist Slash, bassist Duff McKagan, drummer Matt Sorum and guitarist Dave Kushner from Dave Navarro's (JANE'S ADDICTION) band, have officially selected Andy Wallace (NIRVANA, KORN, LIMP BIZKIT, SEPULTURA, SLAYER) to mix their debut album, tentatively due in March through RCA Records.
"We've spent the last couple of months doing pre-production and finally recording this amazing record that really profiles and highlights everyone's ability to shine while keeping to a real cohesive unit — a fucking real band!" McKagan writes in a brand-new online posting. "Scott has a few songs left to sing and then we start mixing with Andy Wallace at the beginning of December."
VELVET REVOLVER's debut CD is being recorded at a Los Angeles studio with producer Josh Abraham (STAIND, ORGY, POWERMAN 5000).
